Jack and Eliza Character drawings up!

Hello! I promised to upload some drawings, and that I have!

I have uploaded a sketch (not brilliant but a sketch none-the-less) each of Jack and Eliza onto their character profiles, which were written fantastically by Lucy, so you can see what they look like, while showing a little bit of their personality too. The quality isnt great because they have been compressed many times since the first scan, and I didnt have time to edit them properly, to my full satisfaction, but they are pencil sketches, cropped and edited from larger pages of drawings, of the two characters, Jack and Eliza, who i both adore.

It also shows what my style looks like ;)

Next up: More fab character profiles from Lucy and a gallery of Heartstone sketches and doodles from me!

Hope you like them! Check them out on the character page 8)

Henry:

This week the updates all about Henry! And he joins Jack and Eliza on the characters page. :D

I've just spend the last ten minutes writing a very long message about this. But then I clicked back by accident (silly mouse!) and the text was deleted. So therefore I'm only going to write a short one this time.

I think half of the other was me having a blather anyway!

I've also added a contact page where you can see both mine and Kathryns livejournals. I update on livejournal once a week with a writing update, this generally covers things for Heartstones because it's the biggest writing project I have at the moment. I'm thinking about putting it on here as well, but that's one thing to be dicussed with Kathryn! There was quite a debate in my head as to which email I should put there for me but I went with the one I trust that works. I've had a few problems with the others recently!

I've got a heap of little stories as well for Heartstones. I was wondering whether (like Kathryns going to upload a gallery) I should upload some of the writing. Although of course, it would be completely spoiler free!

More coming next friday!

Lucy out!

Hello from the Artist! and Creative Commons License

Hello all! This is my first post on this lovely little website of ours, still under construction as it is, and I am happy to say I am completely and utterly excited by the whole endeavour!

Lucy (the author) has been working away at the fantastic scripts, and has been editing and changing the past volumes, and continuing the current one. So far, so awesome ;)

Ive been drawing alot (which isn't unusual for me of course!) to keep my skills up to date, and hopefully improve.

Ive been drawing lots of pictures of the main characters, mostly fanart type drawings, but also some sketches of scenes from the actual comic.

Its all very fun and very exciting ;) We are completely in love with the entire thing, we love drawing and writing so the entire project is great, long but great. We adore the characters and the story is gripping. Hopefully after lucy has finished editing, and its been checked by our tutor, then I can begin drawing the actual comic properly.

We have alot on our plate this year, what with it being the last year of college and therefore theres tons of work, reports, essays, projects, university applications to do, things to be excited and nervous about, as well as our own lives, family and other drawing and writing projects! There is so much things to do sometimes it is very stressful to balance work and play. Ah the joys of being a teenager, both up and down!

But we love it :)

I have also just made a creative commons license, just so people know that we are serious about this project. Its ours goddamnit! Hhaha ;) But its just a free little license I created to show that the story is by Lucy and the art is by me. The creative commons copyright license is on the "About" page and will be somewhere on this page too!

Anyway thank you so SO much to everyone who checks out this still under construction page, I hope you find things of interest and stay around for when more things are put up! Drawings of the characters are on the way! And I may make a gallery for my sketches and doodles for heartstones soon!

Jack:

It's friday once again! This time I've got the about section up where you can find out more about the story and about the creators.

http://heartstoneodyssey.smackjeeves.com/about

I've also added another character profile: http://heartstoneodyssey.smackjeeves.com/characters/

This time it's all about Jack. I've been really excited about this update, I must admit that Jack (who's the man in the header by the way!) is definetly my favourite character in this story. But then so's everyone else, so maybe I should rephrase it to him being a character I'm very fond of?

Hmm.

I've also got the invisable photo thing sorted out! I got my cousin onto it and he showed me a load of things about codes.

Thankyou Tom!

So yes the website looks a lot better.

Have a good Halloween, and there'll be more from me next Friday!

Eliza:

It's Friday! :D Which means it's update time (for the moment anyway! it may well change as we go along.) But the first character profile is ready (in text anyway, there should be a picture coming soon but Kathryn wants to post that one! but it'll be up soon enough.)

So, the update for today is all about Eliza and who she is. I've never written a character profile before so again it could change but I think it's fine for the moment. :) I was intending to add a link so you could just click on that, but it seems that me and links don't get along so just click on characters and Eliza's info will pop up!

I'm still having trouble with the invisible picture at the top. I really don't know what's going on! But I'm hoping to get it sorted out soon.

More coming next Friday!

Character Profile Pictures:

Kathryn (the artist) and I are designing the portrait pictures for some of the characters. We've decided that I'll write the main character profiles and upload the pictures when they're ready and then we might add pictures of everyone else.

Therefore nothing gets given away but you can all keep guessing about when they might pop up in the story. :D

As for the invisible picture at the top. Well it's just no where in the coding, it's driving both Kathryn and I completely mad and one day we will figure it out.

Does anyone know how to get rid of invisible pictures that aren't in the coding? Or maybe the codes wrong itself!

Help?

Lucy
